Did you know that video is the medium where most people consume content?
Creating a nonprofit thank you video is a creative and memorable way to thank your donors. It creates donor engagement, which leads to lifetime givers. These videos don’t have to be super fancy, high quality videos. Any simple thank you video will work. Here are some tips for creating an impactful video that’s sure to show your donors how much you value their support.
Show the impact
Donors want to know how their money is being used to help your mission. So make sure you tell them. You can list statistics, include tons of images, or film the people you are helping saying, “Thank you!”
Keep it short
These videos should be around 90 seconds and no more than 3 minutes. If people see that your video is longer than 3 minutes, there’s a higher chance they won’t watch it.
Personalize the message
If you ran a campaign to raise money for a building, then reference your progress on the building in your video. It really drives the message home to show your donors that you know what they are giving to.
